Great Oak Youth Development Centers, Inc. (Great Oak) was recently selected by the Blue Cross Blue Shield Foundation to participate in a leadership development program called the Nonprofit Leadership Academy (“the Academy”).

The Academy is a new BCBSNC Foundation leadership development program that brings together staff and board members for a dynamic professional learning experience. This program develops and enhances the strategic and operational flexibility, insight, and teamwork necessary for future organizational success. Fourteen North Carolina nonprofit organization teams of four board/staff representatives were selected to participate in the nine month leadership development program that includes training, coaching, and peer-learning.
